How to Read My Notes

Notes start as seeds (ideas), are nurtured (through reflection & research) until they become evergreen—reference guides that I continuously update as I learn new perspectives. Sometimes evergreen notes can link to fully articulated essays.

My notes are living points in a larger web of thought. Each entry is organized around six elements:

  1. Core Idea → The central idea, realization, or belief being explored.
  2. Thought → My current thinking around the idea—observations, reflections, and discoveries.
  3. Questions → What I’m still wondering about. These are openings for further exploration, not necessarily questions with answers.
  4. Sources → The people, books, traditions, experiences, or encounters that have influenced the idea.
  5. Connections → Other additions to garden (books, diary entries, etc.) that this idea relates to.
  6. Creative Work → Where the idea is expressed, explored, or developed through my creative practice/projects.
